So that's your trick to get them to ripen earlier...some kind of tomato torture!

Sherry,
I was about to upload a photo of something called the Lap-Band to post in comparison, but I had second thoughts.... Raybo |

Now that's gotta be the most unusual way to install a tomato vine clip that I've ever seen. I can't wait to see what it looks like when it's ripe—that is if it doesn't explode first.

Of course, the tomato clip was there first and the fruit just grew right inside it. It does look pretty funny though. Should be interesting to see what happens. I guess it is like the Lap-Band for tomatoes!

Whatever happened to the poor tortured fellow? Did he burst or has he grown out of his torturous belt?

I don't know how I missed this thread! That is a funny pic especially with your title.

I'm afraid we will have to contact the SPCT! ( Society For Prevention of Cruelty to Tomatoes.)

It ripened in much the shape/condition as you can see in the photo. Unfortunately, I damaged it in releasing it from it's little cage. It was a really tight squeeze! Had the exact imprint of the tomato clip. Pretty funny looking.
