In years past, I have grown up to 18 varieties for comparison. This year we limited it to 5, but I never grow tired of smelling and sampling the goods.

Pesto time!!!
i've noticed the purple basil pretty much turns green when worked with. i was hoping for purple pesto but it just didnt happen ![]()

Aww man, shame it doesn't hold it's color. It would be a neat way to get kids to eat pesto if they're picky about eating something green, just give 'em something purple!
