Availability info on my book - Epic Tomatoes - request for edits
****News*****
Epic is heading out for a second printing - I will read this and the other entire thread for things people found that need fixing - can I ask that anyone else please add ideas for improvement/corrections to this thread? thanks! Hey folks - rather than have this info be on the 6th or whatever page of my ongoing book thread, this will make things easier to find by making this new one (I decided to stick this thread and unstick the other that Heritage started.) The book should be available from various internet book stores and quite a few seed catalogs within a few weeks - brick and mortar stores as well. I think tomorrow is the official release day, but it will take time to filter through all of the various channels. If anyone would like a signed copy NOW, you can email me at nctomatoman@gmail.com and we can work out the details. (a few of you already have, for which I am very grateful!). I have a few cases of them on hand and can always get more. If you've pre-ordered and/or prefer to get it at your local bookstore or on-line, Storey is sending me some cards or plates that I can sign and then send to you. (Thanks to KarenO for unblocking my stuck brain!). So there is a way forward for signed books now, and signed books later! Once they are allowed, any rating/comments you would like to make to websites like Amazon and Barnes and Noble are welcomed - honest feedback is something that I would value highly. This whole thing has been a bit of an overwhelming and humbling experience for me - since that first copy of the book arrived in the mail last week, it's been quite surreal! And of course the support I've experienced from all of you here at Tomatoville since the beginning has been so very important to me, and deeply appreciated.

rats, I pre-ordered mine on Amazon but I would much rather have purchased a signed copy
oh well, when will the pre-ordered ones be sent out if you know? KarenO UPDATE A perfect "hybrid" solution and now I can have my signed copy too! Awesome, looking forward to reading it very much and gaining all that extra know-how before spring so I can put it to use for 2015. Thanks! Well, Christmas is coming soon, so perhaps you could put the Amazon book to that use......

Craig, Ken B sent me a complimentary copy of the SESE catalog which came today and he features you prominently at the beginning and notes what page # to go to find your book where there's a picture of it and a quote from you.
That should help get the word out to those who don't participate at message sites in addition to which places you'll do your what I call dog and pony shows. And other dealies? Perhaps I did see one when I got my 2015 SSE public catalog. What about TGS? I have to call Linda tomorrow to get one up to me and from what others are posting here in the catalog thread it looks like she's also featuring some of Fred Hempel and Brad's ones that I hadn't heard about before. I live such a sheltered life. Carolyn

Sent you an email.
Best of luck with the book. I'm sure it was a lot of work.

Carolyn, you just have one job re the book - watch the mail next week!
Thanks - one thing that is very different now vs 5-10 years ago - social networking! My daughter has been really helpful - but these days it isn't just the book and the publicist - there's Facebook and Twitter and Blogging and Instagram and...and.... So I do find myself far more busy than I ever anticipated - in fact, my new job as author feels very much like a full time job (and I've not even turned yet to making talks, booking travel, etc for next year yet). Yikes! Oh yes, next year's garden. The dwarf project. Seedling sales. Such fun!

I updated my OP with another option....for those who pre-ordered and will get the book in a few weeks but still wish me to write something/sign. A hybrid solution, so to speak!

I called up Storey Publishing just now, they said they'll be shipping out the books for Southern Exposure Seed Exchange sometime this next week... wish we had them *now*... but, eventually!

Great news, Ken - yes, today was to be the release date - meaning they are departing from Storey to parts known and unknown (!!) - again, I would LOVE to get feedback once the actual book is in people's hands.
Thanks for your support, Ken, as always!
