Default What is your best tasting "red" tomato?

For the past few years been growing Neves Azorean Red and Aker's West Virginia. They produce well in our Florida fall and winter/spring climate. What is your favorite "red" tomato? Germain Red is also very good, but not very productive for me.

Aker's WV was stellar this year- great flavor, size, and the plant is nice and stocky.

Both Akers's and NAR are excellent red tomatoes. If I had to pick one, it would be Aker's!

Not really a fan of 'red' ones, unless they are the pink type. If it has to be 'red red' then some cherry varieties. Gardener's Delight, Sweet Million F1, Koralik... all are tasty and prolific and seem to withstand diseases.

Klara for a large tomato.
Iva's Red Berry for a cherry.

George Detsikas Red and Sakharnyi Gigant were excellent this year for large tomatoes.

This years best red is EM-Champion. It's listed as determinate, but produced outdoors early ( 65 dtm) and through the season for me in an exceptionally hot summer. It's a heart, with great sweet taste. In my greenhouse Couilles de Taureau (80 dtm) has been outstanding, and nothing has tolerated the heat better.

I am a Chapman fan, it has a unique taste that is certainly not redundent.

Just Brutus. Got them from Andrey_By, and that's what he had on the envelope. Love them.

Morado de Fitero is delicious and huge too.

Interesting how we all view flavor....I rarely grow a pink variety anymore as I missed the tomato flavor profile I prefer, and hate using them for sauce.

What taste profile do you prefer? German Johnson PL, Marianna's Peace and Pink Pioneer are great tasting pink tomatoes...in my opinion.
