My garden is 99% cleaned out. The only thing left from fall planting is a small bed of shallots. Topped all my beds with 3 inches of mushroom compost today. I have three flats of lettuce seedlings in the laundry room and loads of pea and beet seeds ready to go. All I need now is some spring time weather! We've had a much warmer week here and it's just a tease, I know. I am itching to plant outside but I'll sit on my hands a bit longer. Next week's weather is still up in the air but there could be more snow. I have several flats of peppers, eggplant, tomatoes and herbs going, as well, but I'm content to keep them inside until the first of April. But I want to get my cool weather stuff in. Just impatient. I'm sure I'm not the only one.
