I talked about how to get rid of you hard drive safely in another thread here.

There is another thing about hard drives.

If you open up a hard drive, you will find two extremely powerful magnets which control the read/write heads' movements.

They are called Rare Earth Neodymium Magnets.
They are so attractive that you can hardly pull them apart.

You can use them to hang up very heavy tools, kitchen knifes. Much more useful than those weak ones they sell for hanging up tools.
