i have around 10 varieties in my container, and i got about 2 cups of basil minus the stems i cut off.

that's around probably 30 plants all in all. (planted close together in plastic cups then transplanted to it's current container)

you'll need A LOT of basil plants go get a pound worth. lol.


i dunno, my plants are 2 months old and around 13 inches tall. i cut it back by half.

here they are now:



for reference, the thai basil there to the right is the original height of all the other basil plants.

i have since ammended the soil with coffee grounds and spraying with some organic foliar fertilizer
