The EarthTainer "Farm" Nov 10 - - Still Picking... (pics)
We've had a pretty mild Fall so far, with typical temps in the 70's during the day.
The Brandywine from Croatia planted on April 10 are still producing ripe fruit: Kind of amazing for plants that were set out 210 days ago. The MarNar F2 plants I set in September 26 are developing nicely, and are loading up with fruit: Early Girl planted on August 1 are cranking them out today: Two Pepper plants in my outdoor InnTainer (yes, I know that is a contradiction in terms) are still producing: And the cukes are still growing well: For the Winter crop, I've planted 4 varieties of Snow Peas. Here are Avalanche on the left, and Oregon Giant on the right: A CukeTainer on the far left, and 3 PeaTainers of Mammoth Snow Peas: I've used the CornTainer moisture barriers with 15 slots, each with 3 seeds per slot (Goliath Snow Peas): The CeleryTainers are developing slowly but steadily: I should have celery, tomatoes, cukes, and peppers on the Thanksgiving Day table. Hopefully, we've got about another 45 to 60 days before we get our first hard freeze of the Season. Raybo |
