Actually I am growing the eggplant in Virginia at my new farm in Floyd. I have no idea if row covers would work as I never tried them. I sprayed the plants today with a solution of hot pepper sauce, garlic, vinegar, and molasses. It's a shot in the dark but we'll see what happens. If it doesn't kill the little buggers, maybe it will at least make them suffer!
