Default When things go limp.

Its that time of the year again when we might buy early or too much to beat the rush at the grocery store.

Celery is one of them among many.
There it is in the refrigerator and it is limp.
What do you do you may ask make soup?
But I wanted crisp celery to eat.
Well fear not here is what I have been doing for years.
I put the celery in a tall skinny container that will just hold the plant.
I then add just enough water to cover the bottom inch or so.
In just 2 or 3 days it will virtually come back to life and be nice and crisp all over again.
Mine are in the window above the sink.

Then as you want a stalk all you have to do is pull off one and put it back in the water.
You can do this with many other things also to keep them fresh without refrigeration.
