Default Wilds aren't as thirsty?

Hi,

I have always thought of the garden tomato as a thirsty critter who "drinks my milkshake" and then some.

But it seems that my wilds not only require less but if they are given the same proportions of water as the domestics they actually suffer a bit.

any one else get this impression?
