earlier today I saw a red pepper on one of my pepper plants in the pepper jungle.
I thought it was a Red Hab. I put it in my pocket and forgot about it. Just a while ago I felt something in my pocket and was fiddling with it thinking it was ball of paper of something. It busted and got juice all over my hand. What the devil is that I thought to myself. I pulled it out and it was the red pepper. I'm in trouble now. So what the heck I will just go ahead and eat the thing whole and suffer. It was very good. Slightly sweet and fruity nothing like a Hab would be. Not very hot at all but somewhat hot. Just right hot really. What was that thing, I need to go look at the tag. It was a Jamaican hot red. I have to say of all the peppers I have grown the mushroom or squash type peppers are on the top of the list as for flavor and hotness. This one will be back next time for sure. I might even over winter these in this area. Worth |
