Best year yet for seedlings
Dense sowed, kept germination tray pretty warm at around 80-85 degrees, potted up, and three weeks later tomatoes are at 4 inches high. Vivid green. The big change is that after week 1 in the pots, I watered with a weak fish fertilizer solution, and that seemed to energize a breakout in green growth.
Very pleased with the seedlings. This year, I am germinating tomatoes, peppers, eggplants, herbs such as amaranth and basil, kale, collards, lettuces, and various flowers including dwarf coxcombs, zinnias, coneflowers, dahlias, hibiscus, begonias, and moon flowers. Also okra and gherkins. Lots of coleus as well. I use T5 lights for the plants. |
