Lost most of my tomatoes to poor draining soil this year so am building raised beds for next spring . Purchased bulk garden soil . I am planning on working cotton burr compost into the top few inches of the beds . I am purchasing at local nursery in 2 cu. ft. bags . Pretty dry stuff . My question is : Do you think it would be best to add the compost now and let it age till spring or wait until spring to add to the soil to keep it more nutrient . Thanks for your advice .
