Hmm, will keep watching to see how they do. Being able to accelerate the grow outs makes it more fun! How was the flavor of the yellow fleshed one, Karen? Have you tried any for eating yet, Ginger?
If they taste as good as they look, yum! |

Good! I will take photos soon. The pink has fruit on both, purples have miltifloral like blossoms but no fruit set yet. I am about to transplant the pink skin yellow flesh, and the dark pink.

Odd about the purples, the green shoulder had straight trusses. These early segregating ones are fun

Your plants look great! Pretty intrigued with the way the trusses are forming. The pinks were in small clusters in the F2's and the purples, especially the green shouldered onevwere in straight small classic trusses. Some kind of milkman multiflora in the mix. I didn't grow any so it's not a cross. Again likely that unstable ambrosia gold parent is tossing off funny genes.
Excited to see how this group of yours turns out. Hoping there's at least one keeper with great taste among them. A PL multiflora would be cool. Love the sunshine and the beautiful fresh green, I can nearly smell your pretty babies Karen Last edited by KarenO; November 14, 2016 at 12:36 AM. |

Karen, they smell great! These multifloras are from the original purple with green shoulders seeds you sent me. Is the other purple the one you are calling the dark Pink? I don't think I have any other purples. I have dark pink and also pink skin yellow flesh to pot up today, that is the 4 segregants that I set out seeds for.

I believe I sent a green shouldered black, a bright all over pink, what I called a dark pink I believe is a clear epidermis purple more the colour of yours in the f1 with no green shoulder and then the pink skinned yellow.
Holding my breath to see what they are this year. KarenO |

Karen, I have 2 of each growing. 8 plants total. Both the multifloras are the purple, (green shouldered black),both are setting fruit, but not as well as the bright pink. These were the earlier seeds I got from you, so further along.
There are also 2 pink skin yellow flesh, and 2 of the dark pink, all have put out their first flower truss, and are about 2 feet tall. My guess is the bright pink will ripen in about 2 weeks or less. I can't wait either. |
