Alma start up: PLEASE

Please excuse my persistance.
If anyone can help me out with a few Alma seeds, please help.
Its' getting late in the sowing season and i truly need to help out a long time freind.
He has been looking for this type of pepper for years
and has finally identified it.
He is a Doctor.
About 75 + years old, and after a stroke, he is still
at the top of his game.
He has been treating my MOM-IN-LAW(MOM) for years
at a discount(she was widowed young).

I have grown Alma Paprika before, but unfortunately don't have any seeds saved for it.

If you can't find anyone who has seeds to share, you can order it from Seed Savers Exchange. There may be other sources, but that is one I know of.

We always seem short instead of long.
2 weeks and a membership won't do.

Huh? You don't need to be a member of SSE to order from their catalog. If you don't want to order from them, browse some other gardening companies that sell peppers. They're not that uncommon.

I grow them every year, they're wonderful peppers for grilling; but I don't save seed on them. I order from SSE every year.

John, I think you were thinking of the SSE annual yearbook, which has the listings for SSE member purchase only.

SSE also has a public catalog with selections that anyone can order from, just like any seed catalog. Check Suze's link in her post.

Send me an private message with your address and I will get seeds out to you yet tomorrow.

It might be late to start and get a crop this season unless they have some covering for the winter in your zone.
