New to area...
Hi everyone,
We moved to Connersville, IN last summer and I managed to bring 2 tomato plants from my old house. Although I got a late start, I was thrilled to be harvesting in the middle of November (and those greenies slowly ripened into January!). I have about 60 plants (all indet. heirlooms but some sungold and Sweet 100). And although the CHOPTAG meetings are only 1 hr from my house, we always have something "more important" to do on that weekend. I was really looking forward to the taste meeting, but my husband's sister is getting married that day in Michigan. Anyway - I'm sure I'll get to meet some of you sometime! Kate |

Welcome!
Kate, Welcome to Tomatoville and to the CHOPTAG site.
Sorry you can't make the Tomato Tasting in August. We will be meeting in the spring for a plant exchange; perhaps we will see you then. Have a great gardening summer! Hope you have an abundance of tomatoes! Gary

Hi Kate!
I had just moved back to cincy 2 years ago when my dad was sick and missed CHOPTAG taste fest, but last year my (then fiance) and I made it. Barbee chatted with us the most I think. we just had a few tomatoes to share but had a great time tasting them all. I brought some whole wheat crackers and herbed cheese spread. MMM! hot time to have a wedding! good luck! |
