I grew Khabar last year. Bulbs came in at 1.4 - 1.9", same as starting seed bulbs, and taste was fine.

Tried Zemo last year but didn't get any usable garlic from them. They just refused to head.

No after taste ? Never heard that one. I've found Khabar to up early and a very strong grower, last year it was bigger that all the rest in May. Zemo is a porcelain...a porcelain is a porcelain. it's tough to screw those up. Metechi is an awesome purple stripe, can't go wrong there either. I don't know anything about the Red Rezan. Those three have fewer but larger cloves per bulb.
