Default Best temps for cucumbers?

It always seems like it's either too hot or too cold for spring planted cukes in AZ. Wanting to fall plant a crop but we've had a wicked heat wave so I skipped the Aug 15 plant out date recommended by the calendar I go by. We were 115 degrees, well above normal, with no end in sight.
What's the best temperatures for germination and growing cucumbers? I really want a successful pickle crop!
Any recommendations on a heavy pickling producer? I'm planning on planting Little Leaf and Calypso.

Not sure about the preferred temps, but I grew Calypso for the first time this year. The production was incredible, just kept going and going. Its on my "must grow" list now.
