West Virginia Sweet Meat
Is this post about West Virginia Sweet Meat?
I don't have any seeds of this and never have. Now I'm confused. Thanks Neil G. (Canada) |

Thank you, thank you for the tomato pictorial. Incredible. Now I'm telling my husband that I want us to look for a place that has enough of a yard so I can grow most of these. LOL We both love meaty tomatoes, and you have so many that look like they fit our requirement... gosh you have a wonderful journal here. Again thank you for taking the time to post all the pictures along with the information.

So glad you enjoyed it and there were a lot of meaty ones this year, yes. With a bit of planning and creativity anyone can cram a lot of tomato plants in a small area. There are a lot of threads here with lots of amazing ideas.

Kath this is an amazing tour of your garden AND what I like the best about your pictures is that the tomatoes are a real representation of what each variety is all about. Not some tomato catalog (picture) where each tomato was hand picked placed in a studio with perfect lighting and a spritz of water. Your tomatoes are REAL and I like that.
This is an awesome collection of pictures and descriptions. Taking all those pictures took a lot of work and keeping the pictures organized, more work. Kath you are amazing. Thanks for sharing. |

Sheesh, Joe, thanks, but I think that compared to the busy lives that so many other Tomatovillians seem to live, mine is quite simple. There are many who have businesses, work full-time, have young families, etc. and still manage to trial more, grow more, organize projects/seed swaps, sell/donate plants/produce, and find the time to post about it here. Those people are amazing- I just have a lot of time on my hands.

Thanks, Melissa!
CR - lurley EPH - Tatiana's Tomatobase WRP - fortyonenorth HP - eddie46 Not much help for the 3 that I received from generous Tomatovillians, but Tania's website also lists commercial vendors for HP- I think there are quite a few. Not sure if anyone is selling the others yet. I'll be trying to save more seed for WRP for sure and also for CR if I grow it again this year. I was able to obtain slips of Beauregard from a local Agway several years ago and since then I just sprout my own from saved tubers. Happy planning! kath Quote:
