Default Edible Chrysanthemum aka Sukat

For those who like to spice/flavor up their salads or meals
you should grow some Asian/Korean edible chrysanthemum.
Here's a pic of my row and a bowl of tender fresh picked chrysanthemum.

and a serving suggestion

Cos or green or red large loose leaf lettuce
thin 1/4 sliced hot pork that has been marinated in hot marinade cut into 1 to 2 inch
pieces.
White or Brown steamed rice
1 to 2 inch pieces of cut up sour Kimchi
other flavorings of your liking
Chrysanthemum/Sukat

Take one leaf lettuce put 1 or two tablespoons rice on it, depending on size of lettuce leaf.
Add 3 to 5 pieces of hot pork
2 to 3 pieces sour Kim Chi
2 leafs Sukat/Chrysanthemum
and other flavorings
Rap the outer edges of the lettuce around the rest of the added ingredients
and commence to chow down
a few napkins maybe necessary if your messy like myself.
also a little dried salted/oiled seaweed as a side dish.

I planned on growing it, but it's a cool season green, I thought? So not until fall. Glad to hear the recommendation, I'm excited to try greens in general.

I've planted it for about 25 years, the first 20 I just called it yellow flower.

about 2 years ago my seed I had saved stopped producing well after not planting it for numerous years. So I bought some from the local Korean store, they sell a line of vegetable seeds from Nong Woo Seed Co.

anyway asked my wife a few years ago and she said it's name was Sukat
I'm sure It's known by many names. I still like the name Yellow Flower.

I've always grown it in the spring but might try planting some in middle, late August
Hopefully the weather will turn cool in September.

Last year my cukes, tomatoes, peppers were doing good in May. This year
the weather has been cooler and wetter a month longer, they are struggling this year, probably a weather thing.

It's been better for my greens that usually don't do to good, spinach, sukat, chinese cabbage and lettuce.
