Hi,

Although early in the season, I have a couple of plants that don't look too good anymore, BER or otherwise. I find that it's best to remove them in that case, for cathartic reasons if nothing else.

What's weird is that my KBX is tall, green and healthy. But it keeps getting BER. So I feel like it's an exercise in futility. I'm so torn. This is year two for KB and not coming back next year.

Had I known what sort of summer we were going to get, I would have concentrated my growing efforts on small-ish, determinate, early cherry varieties, plus a few tried and tested.
This season has been a nightmare on hearts and elongated shaped toms... which are a challenge any year.
Ah well, I must say that Noire de Crimee is doing wonders and it's fruit machine - none ripe yet, but soon. Million thanks to the nice person(s), who contributed the seeds in the swap!
