Default how much light do I need

I have just set up some hydroponic tomatoes in my greenhouse, do I need to put supplemental lighting to extend the hours of light?

I'm at a similar latitude as you, and yes, you do if you want blooms and fruit. They will live just fine without supplemented light hours, but they won't bloom.

Effective lights get expensive quickly, and so does the electricity to run them, unless you buy the ultra-expensive LED lights.
