This happens in the strain sometimes. The main growth tip dies off and a new one emerges. I had one regrow multiple growth tips and look like a shrub.

I know what you mean as i have one that at one point i thought it was damaged somehow. It looked as if a small object did a bit of damage, but it recovered and grew another central leader type growth.

That happens to most of mine that do this. The biggest tell for me they won't recover is lead shape.
