I have a light gray mold on some of my tomato seedlings.
The seedlings are about 7 weeks old and planted in Promix. I have them under T5 and T8 lights and have been watering them from the bottom. On one or two of the plants a leaf or two is drooping. The others look fine. I suspect I have been watering too much. Any ideas of what it is and what to do? Thanks so much! Pam |

I suspect that your pots are too wet but that is hard to confirm from the pics. Skip watering until you're sure that they're dry.
You might try spritzing with a mild hydrogen peroxide solution.

I'd recommend the PromixHP for seedling duty, at 30% perlite it's nearly impossible to overwater. The downside is it drys out quickly, but the reduction or elimination damping off and molds is well worth the effort of extra watering cycles.

Thanks Ricky.
I will let the pots dry out and also spray the seedlings with hydrogen peroxide solution. Do I just spray it on the soil where the mold is or on the entire plant and pot? |

I'd just target the mold.

It's a lichen, not a mold. It grows on peat-based mixes. It is harmless, if not possibly even beneficial.

I used the hydrogen peroxide spray and backed off on the watering.
My seedlings look great after one day! Thanks everyone for your help! Pam |
