Even if people are/aren't a Nifty Fifty participant, for the swap to continue, we need "new" varieties. As an example, last year there were about 200 cherry varieties, only about 25 of them were new to the swap, or had only a few packs come in/go out. And, new to the swap varieties of more than 10 packs (20?, 25?) will make my task easier. |

I thought I had posted already, but I guess not. I did send you a pm. I would like to participate in the dwarf project category. I am growing at least 2 dwarf project tomatoes this year, and might be able to squeeze in more.

Thanks for the bump, Gary. PM sent to see if any of my tomatoes qualify for the Nifty 50!
Fingers crossed for a good growing season! Jeff P.S. Can we post attorney jokes regarding Viagra if we are attorneys? |

My Nifty Fifty variety is growing well, healthy, and blossoms bagged. I still don't have someone to sponsor!

Suggested categories are in post #1 with no suggested changes at this time.
If all categories don't get filled, we'll likely go with more varieties from popular categories. This Nifty Fifty list of categories is not to be confused with the regular MMMM list of categories. |

Tormato:
When we PM our potential Nifty 50 candidates, should we list them under each category? I just sent the list of what I was growing this year with descriptions of the least common varieities. Jeff |

Right now, I like the Turkish variety, and putting it in the Eastern (close enough) European category. The Spanish one was in the swap last year, so I'll be looking for another variety for that NF category. The cherry was sent to 25+ participants (one seed each) so there may be a lot coming back this year. It may go into the experimental category of the regular MMMM categories if there are a lot of reports of it still not being stable. |

This sounds really cool--I am definitely interested.
A question: at what point do you plan to share the names of the varieties? |
