Years ago I bought the edible dunya harvest whole hemp seeds $5 for 1lb.
But they sterilize the seeds and none would germinate. As a tease the soaked seeds would pop open and stick their tongue out,but that's as far as they get.I don't think you can even get commercial seed around here. |

You could get a pound or two of quality leaf from 4 plants. Keep it well fed with N and K until you see the bloom emerge, break it out before flowers open. Then continue to water the plants and keep breaking all the suckers out for the next 4 or 5 weeks. The leaves will begin to get larger and larger in the weeks following topping. The plants will begin to get a golden yellow look at about 3 to 4 weeks, this means that the plants are getting ripe. At this point the plants can be cut at the base and hung upside down in a open shed type structure. In a month or so it will cure. After curing, (no fat leaf stems near the stalk) the leaves can be stripped from the stalk on damp days when the leaves are in "case" meaning that the cured plants can be handled without damaging the leaves.

Tobacco blossoms only give off a scent at night.
During the day they have no scent at all. People plant them next to their decks so they can smell them at night. |

Today is the last day of the semi-annual session of the Texas Legislature. Although the rather limited Medical Marijuana bill had a House majority, a small group prevented it from being reported out for consideration by the Senate. [Texas Legislature has a labyrinthine procedure that rivals its Federal counterpart, along with strict time limits.]
So no Medical Marijuana in Texas until 2019 at the earliest.

The med mj program in Illinois is a joke. You have to practically be on death's door before they give you a card. And when you get one, it gives you the right to pay double the price for lower-quality stuff than what is being smuggled here from Colorado and Michigan. Dispensary prices here are three times what they are in Colorado. So med pot in Illinois is something for people who are both very sick and have a lot of money to spend.
