I have an interest in tomatoes from Spain. This year I'm trying Karkiano. Unfortunately I don't know much about this variety yet but I'm trying to get information from someone who has grown this variety in the past.
Is there anyone on this thread who may know about this variety ? I would appreciate any information on Karkiano. Dan |

I don't cultivated this variety.
But here some information. It is a variety cultivated in The Basque Country. It's also known as Karkizano. Records of the regional seed bank states, it's from the town Elgóibar, in the province of Gipuzkoa. Weights around 300gr-600gr. Beafsteak type. Mature late, around 155 days. |

Looks like a strong & very healthy plant as do most all of your plants in the pics I've seen. Have you ever grown Karkiano before ?.

Thank you very much for sharing your pic of Karkiano. I don't sow my seeds till the first week in April and usually don't get ripe fruit till the first week of August mostly because I don't grow early maturing varieties any longer. But I'm looking forward to growing Karkiano this year.
