Spent all day Friday at ground zero. Never could go there all these years being a NewYorker. Quickly found out many of my co-workers felt the same...had not gone there. Intensely disturbing. On many levels.
Beautiful memorial and did help break the emotional ice a bit. A friend of mine did base jump the FreedomTower a couple years ago. Looking up it amazes me. I was with him the next morning. Having jumped at 3am...He was eventually found out...(you-tube base jump Freedom tower is an amazing video) |

We were there in 2012 when it was still under construction. Still a very moving experience.
![]() ![]() The pilot of flight 11, John Ogonowski, was from a town near me where he had a farm and worked to preserve agriculture in the area. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Ogonowski He also dedicated part of his land and much of his farming knowledge to help Cambodian immigrants in the area get started in farming. Scroll down to the bottom of the page for a tribute -- http://nesfp.org/about I believe his brother, Jim Ogonowski is still running the farm he left behind. |

Imagine the first guy who had that idea. "No, fellas, we don't need one big truck. Let's just stick some wheels here in the middle, and then some on the end. It will be fine, I promise."
