Ginny, yes. 0-33 is a early det variety. Tania offers it. I can see it will be a tough plant to kill, after my disaster with foliar feed rest of seedlings in the tray look like c!@# and 0-33 like nothing happened. It is also outside planted, growing and will be about a week behind Kimberley.http://tatianastomatobase.com/wiki/0-33

Don't know if it qualifies for zone pushing, but have 35 plants outside in coastal massachusetts.
It's been cooold, plants are purple, stems are getting very thick, kosovo and stupice are getting ready to flower, hopefully they hold off a few days till it warms up so the fruit will set on the first truss. Nematode. |

I'm way content about this year's zone pushing... This is today's harvest. I'm still about 2 weeks away from when I'm expecting to plant tomatoes out into the field, weather permitting.

Well 20° F this morning just as it was on the 14th, difference is I had nothing planted on the 14th, but I went out back and uncovered the tomatoes and watered the plant leaves and they seem to be OK.I'll go out later and check again but I think they are fine.

Ouch! Google tells me that 20 F is - 6.6667 C... Yikes!!!
I hope your tomatoes survive, and I hope what you're having is NOT headed our way! Our forecast for the next week has been showing highs of 55-65 F and lowest low in the high 30's... enough to tempt me to plant out some of those extras that are hanging about, and the peppers too.. at least, when the wind drops a little. I'm really seeing the effect of wind on seedlings which I put outdoors with minimal shelter.. a lot of damage overnight from 40+ mph winds yesterday, and overnight they were gusting to 56 mph. Protection for wind is doubtless as important as temperature here. |

Nice Joseph!! Yes I am very content as well. As I predicted, each of our little cold snaps has been very short, not enough to affect soil temps or growth. I am thrilled to have such a jump on the season this year!!

My jump on a season was earlier by 3 days than last year. While weather was not kind this May it was not horrible either. First 2 green tomato in the ground goes to Red Ruffles, which has 5 flower trusses by now.
Picture from Monday, another 6" growth by now. |
