I canned 35 pints of salsa last night, all sealed fine. I used regular lids, but lookie what I found in the old stuff. I think I'll put one in my wallet. The one in there for the last 25 years that has not brought much luck at all.

I hope they did get pregnant, actually. I specifically did not use those jar rubbers...By next March I hope to see a whole new generation of half pints running around the pantry!
I figured you all would get kick out of that box. Good Luck. I'm sure that box got some laughs at the supermarket back in the day. Yessirree, that's what I like to rely on when preserving food! The Good Luck that my 2 cent rubber didn't break, but not knowing for sure for a few months! |

So happy to see them getting along so well. Bodes well for many years of bonded friendship between the two.
Used to have a dog and two cats that slept together like that. The cats imprinted on my dog and her sister more than their mother....to the point they tried to "bark" when the doorbell went, and presented themselves to be bathed by the dogs. Will be interesting to see if your dog grooms your kitty in time.
