I know the feeling. Two of my customers look like reneging so I'll end up with 40 more assorted plants left over as well as the 25+ 'spares' .What to do with 65 spare plants? The community garden, neighbours, daughters, hmm... might manage it. We sold 450 plants, I'll be passing on $900. A drop in the ocean but better than nothing.
I'm planting out 20 - 25 for home use and seed saving, still have the 4 different dwarfs (12 plants) Rainy's Maltese that I want to play with crossing and Black Cherry, Pearly Pink Cherry still seedlings. Once the stupid football grand final is over I'll be delivering plants and making lots of space for Chillies, Capsicums and Egg plants. I am going to grow some in the reclaimed bed which is currently, bare ground, a thickish layer of biodynamic compost and a thick layer of calf pen litter and straw. So its a sort of no dig built up bed. I'll stick them in bottomless pots in potting soil to get them started and see how they fare in that environment. Can't let a good space go to waste! Football is boring.................

bloody hell...i tipped the cats by 25 points!
all efforts to insert a '1' in front of this margin on my tipping sheet has been met with the glare of disapproval. |

I was 6 years old when the cats won their last premiorship so I dont remember it well. But I do remember the past 4 floggings we have had in recent times in the grand final so this is SWEET

Wet Wild and Windy but after demolishing the pines last week, we have built beds for the bottomless pot growing. Should get about 30 plants in here. Details on the blog.
When does the sun go over the yard-arm? ![]()
