Thanks, I thought they looked right. Beautiful pink, pics don't do it justice.

Very happy to finally have good production from a GJ. Have picked 6 and there are at least 20 more set on the plant. Just gotta keep the stems upright as the maters get bigger.

My first year starting from seed has converted me forever. Plants are soooo healthy compared to previous transplants.

What a lovely color, so rosy and a warm toned tomato. How was the taste for you?

I just ate the ripest one with peas. I was pretty shocked at just how good it was. Best tomato I've eaten thus far this year. Beautifully balanced with very few seeds.

I'm excited.

I am very happy to have found this thread. I moved in February and didn't plant seed as usual, but was lucky to find a German Johnson plant at the local nursery. It was planted in March and is now six ft tall and loaded with fruit. The first to ripen I sliced a little early and it was good, but not great. I was more patient with tomato #2 and when my wife tasted it she simply said "Oh, wow!"

I purchased seed for the Benton Strain from Heritage Tomato Seed in April. It is now about 2 ft tall and has set multiple fruit on the first truss. In a month or so I will be able to compare the regular GJ with the Benton Strain side by side. I will post some pics soon.
