How's Johnny Cochran doing now? Did he find a new home?

I haven't seen him in weeks. I think he moved away, or at least into the adjacent unmowed field.

Cole, I have the same thing this year, with plants too long in the pot (way too long!), and a week after transplant they're not doing the big growth spurt as yet. First time I've seen that, as I usually get them in asap if I see a first flower.
Glad to see your early fruit, and fingers crossed that the wilt has taken all it'll get! |

Thanks.
I picked a few Esterina F1 and some Polarnij Skorospelnij (Polar Early) the day before yesterday. Other than the one Utynyok, they are my first ripe outdoor tomatoes. Taste test coming when they ripen fully. I was at my dad's house today, and he has a nice garden, but my outdoor plants are still about 2-3 weeks ahead of his. He and I both planted out at about the same time. The black plastic mulch and raised ridges are the difference in making my plants earlier. |

It's a shame that small-scale drip is comparatively so much more expensive to set up than large scale. I buy drip tape by the 5,000 foot roll, and it is extremely cheap per-foot when bought like that in bulk.

Thanks, and yes, Mat-Su in the back. I have picked a wide range of sizes in the Mat-Su.
Sadly, my dwarfs are in one of the areas that has the wilt the worst, so they are going to make about 2 or 3 fruit per plant and then die. I picked a few Painted Pink just now. They have ripened right behind the Esterina. |
