Italian Sweet from TGS. Dunno why, I just liked their description. Just a sucker for a big sweet tomato

McS,
We're now getting a good hour out of Summer without complaint, providing she's sitting on her trike and parked next to something edible. Lol. You are right, she likes the action.

Manto,
I can understand your thinking: two words, Italian and sweet, are rather suggestive and evocative.

these tomato's nearly all weighed 400-500grams each no acid a good meaty tomato ,excellent in flavour , and not all seeds like some, good keeping

A 1lb pink on a determinate bush, seeds via a Maltese worker, sounds like something worth trying... my two are looking good. Will be interested to see how the taste stacks up.

I am loving the look of the plant so far Grub. Rainys is a robust bush type that I have not seen before. One of my F2's is showing the same habit of throwing out leaders from every leaf join at a very young stage. Really looking forward to its progress.

Mantis,

I suppose it's like Sophies Choice? RL Determinate bush about 1-2ft tall and 3ft wide?

Just went and measured mine in the greenhouse. Its 800mm by 500 (2ft8inches by 1ft8inches) and has only just set its first fruit. Lots of flowers on the first truss.

Plants in the self watering tubs are kicking ###. the other side of the greenhouse where they are in bottomless pots are much slower but getting there. Outside plants have just started to show some growth. warmer weather coming so hoping for better growth

What, Early Blight? Why is it so bad in your dry environment?
