Carolyn, by now no doubt you are either on the way or already at the surgery site. Having been in that uneasy place, I wish you an uneventful surgery and a very quick recovery, and above all else, peace of mind.
Please make sure all the personnel actually wash their hands with soap when you are back in the hospital room, not just the gel squirt. I tell them, no offense, but please do it as I am MRSA phobic! You will be in my thoughts all day today. Marsha |

as requested, I got a later surgery time since it's an hour drive to the hospital. Up and showered with requested anti-bacterial soap, took the one pill I was supposed to take, looking longingly at my cigaretttes, which are a no no, clothes set out to put on, and now to feed the cat the wet food she loves. Howard , who is driving me there, he's Freda's BIL, and we have to be out the driveway by 9;30 AM., told where to go at the hospital, estimated time for surgery is one hour, then add time for prepping and then to recovery. If all is well I go from recovery down to the day surgery entrance, via wheelchair, Howard picks me up, he's driving my car which needs to be driven since I can't, then to home and to bed. If there are any complications I'll have to be admitted for I hope no longer than one night. They require someone be with you at home for 24 hrs. and my neighbor will stop by, but this is my 5th K stone experience, the first where both lithotripsy and laser will be used, and I do wear a medi-alert wrist band, and can always call 911 if needed. I don't know if there will be County Nurse followup. The neighbor is an obsessed hypochondriac so won't be here long. If I feel up to it after I get home today I'll stop by and let y'all know I'm still alive. Carolyn, and if I feel OK on the drive home perhaps Howard and I can go through a driveby place and get some quality junk food, which I don't often have and can be considered a treat.

Glad to hear you're home. Not so much that there were a few snags. Sending healing thoughts and energy your way, along with prayers for a full, uneventful recovery filled with plenty of "treats" and tennis if you handle watching.

Well, at least you're home without having to stay at the hospital. Something to be grateful for! Wishing you some small (or large) indulgences when you can.
