A few quick snaps after a hectic day at work...
They are coming along nicely... flowers not to far away on many. Spare patch flanked by peppers and dwarfs in pots, with more dwarfs in the patch. Some of the stakes in the pot are from a cut-up Hills Hoist clothes lines, which some of you may remember. Eggies already... It's gonna be a great season guys... remember me? Click for Larger Size |

Hehe, Summer is going to be running around soon
I am happier about the greenhouse today as I pulled JF and 3 other very sickly looking plants. Pruned the bad leaves off the others and am thinking I may get ahead of it. The copper spray i hit them with yesterday seems to have dried out the bad leaves where the chlorothalonil left them limp and damp. Not a fan of the chlorothalonil. Below is one of the bad leaves pulled from one plant I am keeping for now. |

Oh, yes. Cosmic, I did disect the pulled plants in several places and no sign of dark streaking indicating virus, which is very good.

Life is good with a Hunter Valley chardy, as well.
I should share this with you: one patch I have always produces stunted ones and this year, after considerable renovation, I have 2/8 stunted ones. I'm thinking there are root-eating critters in the soil and I am going to make a pyrethrum drench. Dun wanna lose Box Car Willie. Otherwise, all is well here. Tried my hand at beach fishing this arvo and caught a dart, a small flathead and a crab. No dinner, but the white pointers were out. And a few Brazilian behinds. Hard to concentrate on the bites. |

Looks like we all had a good night especially you Cosmic! New Zealand wines....mmm..mmmm...mmmmmmm...Got a case of premium Sauvignon Blanc with the wine Club last week. Looking at today's forecast (31C) I might just pop a bottle in the fridge for tonight.
Brazilians.....we celebrated New Year's Eve in Cap Tribulation with a group of brazilians a few years back....took me a few days to recover and it's definatly one night that I will never forget. It's 5:30am, having a cuppa before I can start watering at 6:00. Those water restrictions are interfering with my saturday night drinking The tommies are looking good it looks like I might get some flowers very soon.
