I have notice that too. The more I pick the more pepper flowers I get. They are good for your health, and not to hot me.

I find their heat middle-of-the-road. I do like the chili powder my husband makes from them.

I have never made chili powder before. Do you take the dried peppers and just crush them in to power?

Yep! I have a stone mortar and pestle that I grind them up with (other herbs and spices as well.) It works great. Then we store them in small containers.

O. K. I just looked it up. I have seem them for years, but did not know people still use them or the proper name for it. My Mother have one. I am going to ask her for it, and send her some vegetables. Thanks so much!!!

Have you ever grew Hungarian Black Peppers. I wonder if this is the same type of pepper use in the black pepper you buy in the store. It took me two summer to get my Hungarian Black peppers to get use to Virginia soil to produce heavily. Than it took two summer to find which vegetables it would protect from pest in my heirloom farm. It's not to hot, so I can eat them too. I think drying all these peppers I grow and using a stone mortar will make my husband happy to have his own fresh powder peppers. There are some hot peppers I grow just for Organic pest control. If the Hungarian black peppers is the same peppers we use every day. Than I will continue to grow them just for me and seed saving. Than just use the Hinkel Hatz peppers for protecting plants.

I try to look at the rest of this pepper site an unwanted pictures pop-up http://www.chileseedusa.com/order_ch...pper_seeds.htm 1 oz is a lot of pepper or they Heirloom Seeds. I will try again next week.

My Peppers are Heirloom Seeds at http://angelfieldheirloomtomatoes.com but need to add more seeds.

Could I share in the cost w/ you, I would love to try both, maybe 15 or so seeds of each? Or more if its easier to calculate the cost this way. Or trade.

I was planning on sending them in a regular envelope with
bubble wrap around it. If you want it sent in an bubble
envelope the po here charges $2.07. I have plenty of
bubble envelopes. I can send more than 15 seeds of
each. I have so many.

I am collecting heirloom peppers to grow around my Heirloom fruits and vegetables to keep away unwanted pests and bugs. So far this year Hatz peppers is doing a great job. I have also notice my heirloom anaheims peppers is doing a good job of protecting my heirloom brussel sprouts and I need more heirloom pepper varieties to work with. I was trying to find more information about “Lumbre Peppers” Is it an heirloom?

I grew the Giant Marconi Red for the first time this year and WOW! These peppers are HUGE and very tasty! I doubt if I will ever grow Cal Wonder again. And did I mention prolific? They are pretty big plants compared to most of my other pepper plants but pepper plants don't get too big here in Oregon, in general.

My Thai pepper plants are also HUGE this year and loaded with peppers. I probably have over 100 peppers on each plant and they are growing out fairly wide.

Cayenne always do well here in Oregon and the plants will be covered with green peppers and seemingly the next day they are almost all red. Lots of them.

My jalapenos were not very prolific.

Hot Lemon Peppers are one of my favorite and they are just beginning to turn yellow. We have had the remnants of a typhoon come through and drop over 6 inches of rain in the last few days. We normally only get 1.5 or so for the month of Sept. Hopefully my peppers won't rot before they ripen.
