Here are some of my seedlings of Tom Wagner's "Seattle's Blue Woolly Mammoth".

Excellent photo of the siblings among the SWBM population. You should soon find a few that are woolly along with that blue stem...blue leaf format. If you get some blue flesh types...that is icing on the cake.

Hope one of those will be worthy of a still painting..........but how will you keep one of Seattle's Woolly Blue Mammoths still enough for a sitting?

Answer....freeze it in a block of ice up on Rainier and treat it like an extinct species.

Out of 18 Dancing WTS seeds, planted on 3-27, I have had only 5 sprout. Strike that, now a total of 8 have come up.

That one leaf looks like a cucumber.

The purplish tinge under the leaves would normally tell me "feed those things!" but it's a blue var, so I'm at a loss.

Tom's TPS, "Skagit Magic" and " Lady Krokar" have both germinated! I'm on to potatoes from seed!

Wow I dont know how I missed this! Love the site and even though it is a little late ordered seed to lovingly grow out this year. I am thrilled to try some of these and can't wait to get them started!
Sorry I missed Dancing With The Smurfs...hopefully next year it sounds like a fun tom and my neighbors will really think I've gone bonkers out in the tom field dancing with them!

I posted this picture under the photos thread. I had seeds of this variety germinating over a few weeks so the pictures on this thread are older plants. I've had trouble getting a photo that shows just how furry or "woolly" these plants are, they are covered with whitish, purplish fur like a velveteen rabbit.
