My DLH is doing great, It has lots of buds an flowers.
I shall report on the fruits when it happens.
BTW: I sowed the seeds on 2/12 and planted out around 5/12. It is one of the vigorous plants in the row.

I had some caterpillars on my sweet pepper. I sprayed one plant with Ortho permethrin/sulfur treatment. It burned the heck out of the leaves. Fortunately I didn't try it on my tomatoes yet.

Was looking up info on Rebel Yell and came across this thread. Don't have time to read entire thread, but Spartanburg, I'm in Greer and usually add horse !anure to my garden. This year I went to Lake Cooley Farm and Garden and got their leaf compost. Was more expensive, but I think worth it. You may want to check them out. My garden has never looked this "rich!"

I now have another plant dying of TSWV but it doesn't stand out so much in the sea of Early Bight that has struck since we have been getting rain every day for weeks now. I have one plant with EB from top to bottom and it is dying from it. I believe that is the first plant in many years to actually be killed by EB. Usually it just slowly moves up the plant and doesn't affect production much at all but this year is sure turning out different. I can't complain because my plants have produced like crazy this year but I would say that half my first bed of tomatoes is really being hit hard by EB and even some of the plants that I set out in April have it bad. The forecast is still for rain every day for the next 10 days so I guess I'll be seeing speck and spot diseases as well so I'm not looking for an easy time of it for the next few weeks at least. The constant rain has made keeping any fungicide on them impossible but I keep trying. I sprayed them all with copper just before dark today and I am hoping it won't rain tomorrow and maybe it will help a little.

Have you tried alpaca poo? Ive used it but amount I can get it limited and its a bit far away.

Are you growing squash? If so, how are they doing? Any vine borer or squash bugs where you are?
