Mcsee' s offer was wonderful, especially considering it is over an hours drive between our respective homes. Basically I miss judged a step and ripped a triangleular flap of skin about 4 inches long on two sides. Between a bit of an infection and skin die off, a skin graft was required. Graft has taken and is healing well.
First tomato fruit of the season is on Tasmanian Chocolate. Photos to follow as I am able to move about more easily. |

The moonboot, do not know why they call it that, but they do. Because I lifted a flap of skin right down to the muscles underneath, I am not allowed to move my calf muscle at the moment to allow the skin graft to heal properly. So the moonboot it to restrict movement of ankle and take my weight if I need to move about, the less I move the better. Top photo is moonboot on leg, bottom is side on.

Somehow I read it as "moon bot" and was picturing the Mars rover.

Do not over do! They are just stupid tomatoes. Tell those plants they are on their own until you are mended!!!

Whwoz, I think it's so cool that you're just getting your first ripe tomatoes before xmas.
![]() Also kudos because we don't get first ripes before the summer solstice here! ![]() My mom has bought me a leg of Aussie lamb for my birthday, coming up in a few days! ![]() ![]() |
