Finally picked the first 3 ripe fruit from my Taiga plants. They took a long time (it seemed to me) to mature, but then started blushing almost at the same time - even though one of the plants didn't set until much later than the other one. Maybe a weather thing? In any case, so far the two I've eaten have been very good, meaty and almost fruity. They haven't set a ton of fruit so far, but I also got a pretty late start, so we'll see how we do here in the summer home stretch. I will say that they have been consistently healthy so far and for whatever reason the aphids mostly avoided them.

I sliced one up along with a cucumber and some salad dressing for an afternoon snack.

And finally, three of them are ripe. Last year Taiga was quite late too. So, I am waiting.
Thay are beautiful, meaty hearts, sweet and so tasty. Polaris is an incredible tomato, beautiful, with complex flavor.

Karen, thank you so much.

Beautiful Dorota! Hope they were worth waiting for.
True colours is earlier for me by a bit but I’ve had ripe ones since July. Every area is so different that’s for sure.
