Things are slowing down a bit. Looking into plastic and a scheme to cover the next 2-3 batches of seedlings. Lots to do.

@Deb: Forgot about the ripening and ready to go basket!
![]() Grandma got run over by a reindeer + elvis' blue xmas + Sammy Davis singing Candy Man + fresh tomatoes + MMMM envelope--can't ask for more. The ones in the post above are in the walmart bag to the right down this way ------------------->>>> harvest plus.jpg Gonna make an heirloom Chilli with all these, except those two little NAR in the middle. Carolyn: Another vote for NAR in the wow range flavor wise. It struggled a bit for me on other fronts, that's ok. Next time around I'll hold its hand and follow Marvin's reqs for "giant yields giant weights" And while I have your eyes and whomever swings by, Sudduth vs Cowlicks. Your $$ is on?? Any feelings pro/con on these bad boys from the Ukraine, Russia, ...+...?
Much appreciated. Last edited by Gerardo; December 16, 2015 at 05:44 PM. |

Gruntovii Gribovskii
That's my Gribovsky. It's a cold-tolerant red saladette with a nice acid bite. The skin is a little tough for me. Yield is good. Have you tasted the Ten Hung Tan (Blue) Chieh yet? Did it turn red, or is it blue-on-pink like Blue Beauty? |

The THTC w streaks are problematic due to stink bug and whitefly damage, so the ripening hasn't been what it should be, even so they're well on the way to red and far from blue beauty. With the cold you'd expect the blue to show more, and if anything it's a very light streak I have another THTC that is doing better, fruits have less damage. This AM's head count reads: 14 fruit, avg 3 per cluster. The first ones are starting to blush so I'll evaluate those on both flavor and looks. |

Tatiana's description of the Volovsko Srce Val is: Indet. plants with wispy regular foliage, excellent early fruit set, high yield of pink heart-shaped fruits, 5-16 oz. First blossom is usually fused and can form a large and misshapen fruit. Excellent sweet flavor and meaty flesh with little juice and small seed cavities.I will evaluate this one to see if I can enter it as my horse in the 2016 CUP, aiming for the UGLY category. Worse case scenario I eat a fair amount of pink hearts. |

Well, well, you finally admitted you are a horrible person, or is that just in reference to tomatoes or does it have a larger definition?
