My mom and stepdad had a good crop of late peppers. Lunch box mix from Johnny's is on the left. Of the bells, Flavorburst F1 has been a favorite and certainly wins the orange bell spot on the pepper team.

Not for sure yet. Worth |

Lunchbox looks like the mighty minis I grew from saved seed from store bought peppers. My peppers are at the end of the cycle, first frost expected this weekend. I have so many left I don't know what to do with them all.

Thanks. Crunch Sweet Orange is still sweeter than the lunch box hybrids, but I haven't found OP equivalent peppers that size in red or yellow.

Cole I have to agree with you on the crunch sweet orange. That was one of the first peppers that I have grown from seeds that I received from the Garden Web member. This is on my list for next year and it is truly a gem that not many have heard of but I passed many along the way and some friends still grow it yearly and still rave about it.

The CSO leaves my fingers sticky when I cut into it.
Ajvarski Sweet amd Sweetest Pepper were my best reds this year. My girlfriend told me that she did not like peppers, then I roasted a few from the garden on the grill....and now she likes peppers. She has had a garden all her life, but never tasted varieties like that. |

where do you get crunch sweet orange? I have one pepper someone sold at a farmers market that is one of the sweetest orange peppers I have ever had but he couldn't tell me what it was.... *eye roll here* like I was going to come to his market and set up next to him and take all his pepper customers. this a pendant pepper thin walled about 4-5 inches long.

Mine came from a friend doing a seed swap on a pepper forum. I'm sure I will have seed available. I'm way behind in regard my seeds and have been putting it off until cold weather arrives.

Is all this home grown stuff as good as store bought grown by professionals?

One customer did ask me if there was something wrong with the bell peppers that were not all one color.
"No ma'am. That's just how peppers ripen." ![]() |

I had a friend complain to me all peppers are mismarked when they get them. they never have red or yellow or orange peppers. they all come green on their plants.
