Default Lana (PL) - August 26

This is F3 generation of Pink Brandywine X Carbon made by Rob Gee in 2007. Red PL beefsteak line.

I am selecting for red beefsteaks - and these looks beautiful, and they are large!

Default Sweet Pickles pepper - August 26

Amazingly productive, but nothing is ripe yet - my peppers are so behind this year!

Default Zea Sonnabend - August 26

This is another seed mixup, I suspect.

I got the seeds marked 'Zea Sonnabend Red', and obviously was expecting red fruits. I am getting these beautiful white ones from one plant. Fruits on the 2nd plant look very different (they are still green) - they are 'velvety' and more flattened, and a bit larger. Hopefully they'll ripen to red, as they should be.

But this one is probably the original 'Zea Sonnabend [White]'

Default Indische Fleisch - August 27

Wonderful flavor, one of my favorite blacks. First fruit was somewhat misshapen, but the rest looks normal beefsteak types.

Default Tibet Appel - August 27

Another reliable producer for our PNW climate. I started seeds very late (about a month later than usual), and it still ripened before many other varieties. Highly productive. Very good taste, juicy.

I also posted all these pictures (and many more) at Tatiana's TOMATObase.

By the way, the problem with the website is now fixed - it was our service provider returning a wrong IP address sporadically. In addition to the recent router problem and some unexpected power outage on Saturday, it was very frustrating! And I am glad Stan figured it out and asked them to fix it.

Please let me know if still does not work for you.

Default Burcham New Generation - NOT - August 29

I have not been lucky in securing correct seeds from this variety. This was the second attempt, that gave me 2 different red fruits (cherry and salad size) - Burcham NG should be a large pink - but I am still hopeful that maybe the last plant would still give me correct fruits!

Default German Lunchbox - August 29

I did not like the taste of the first 2 fruits - it was too mild for me. But my friend who I shared a few seedlings with said that she loved it. Perhaps I'll wait and see how later fruits taste before giving it my final judgement.
