Default Don's Double Delight (not)

This is from Carolyn's offer but the fruits don't have the proper color/striping. I bagged fruits before knowing this but don't know if anyone would want seeds. The fruits picked so far have ranged from 12-23 oz.

Default Humph

This GWR type has had some leaf curling issues and cat-facing. The fruits are ranging from about 5-9 oz.

All fruits over a pound and nice clusters at every level despite the weird weather is a plus this year. Deep cracks on top of some have marred the appearance and invited some rot.

Default Nile River Egyptian

This had good early fruit set and then hardly anything to the top of the plant. The first six fruits are all over one pound with the largest at 26 oz.

More huge fruits on this plant which set all the way up and was the tallest plant in the garden with the exception of Sungold when I noticed in mid-July.

Huge fruits but lots of catfacing and some BER, too. Not a tall plant to be producing two fruits over 2 pounds. The ones in photo #2 are 10.1 oz. and 2 lbs. 3.5 oz.

Had some BER mid-plant and some EB so that shadecloth was needed to protect from sunscald. Fruits have ranged from 13-20 oz. and we're hoping for improved internal coloring. It's been a hard year here for tomatoes so far.

Default Sweet Linda

It was a long wait for these pretty pink fruits which had a bit of a Tomatoberry heart-shape to them. Nice and sweet but big compared to Sungold.

Default Tomate Cereza

This large red cherry was the last of this type to ripen for me this year.

Nice work. It's great to have a visual and your comments. Makes me think a lot about next year. Fr the oxhearts so far only Cuor Di Bue has ripened and I think I like it, still waiting for Anna Russian and orange Russian. Everything else is still pretty much waiting except for Bloody Butcher which has been pretty good so far, although some of the fruits have been quite soft, even before ripening, which is disappointing.

Kath, all I can say is that the seeds I distributed came directly from Lee, who developed that variety and were not produced by one of the several folks who do seed production for me..

And a general question.

I love these threads about varieties, but I'v told several who have reported back already on varieties they got from me to wait until I put up the performance thread in the Fall as I have for many years now.

Is it going to work for you to do a post reporting back on all the varieties you got from me in that thread so that all are on the same page in that thread?

I hope so.

Carolyn
