Wow - how rude!
We got quoted $1000 to remove the pine trees. It ended up costing us two beers, lunch, $150 and a pint of chainsaw oil! Neighbours are good to have. Cosi looking at a very black sky with thunderheads and watching the sea fret coming in with it's salt burden - bugger...............

Grub your tree man sounds excatly like my ethnic neighboor. Never seen or talked to the guy before, didn't even know what house he lived in.....knock on door....Hello I'm your neighboor, I see you have a lemon tree can you give me a few....bit strange I thought but what the heck...went in the backyard and came back with a bag with maybe 8-10 lemons and hand it to him....He looks in the bag (no thank you) and say I need more!

Yeah, there are times when we have lots of lemons to get rid of , but, if someone came to the door like that, I would be the same. Probably step on one lemon, remove a seed and tell them to go grow their own.
I do give away a lot of tomatoes each year, with the first two given to a guy i meet up with maybe once a week at different schools. I have been taunting him with pics from here of my crop and its driving him mad. I was at a school today where his wife is the principal, so I went home and got a Toms Yellow Wonder and a Grandpa Willie, and left them on her desk. I did this so that he doesnt strangle me when I see him next, which should be Friday hehe ![]() |

Grub, have your grown Sara's Galapagos before? I tired it for the first time this year and just loved it!! great flavor and production with very little problems with disease, a few yellow leaves at the bottom was all.

Hi Rena,
By ethnic I mean of Med' extraction... but don't get me wrong I have nothing against people of any extraction... I just mention this because such people know good homegrown produce when they see it. Ordinarily, an anglo Aussie wouldn't know a tomato if you threw it at him. BTW: Summer says hi and waves to Rena. |

Latest picking are three more Toms Yellow Wonders with two going over a pound and my first F2 of Brandywine X College Challenger.
The taste of the F2 was very good and it has a deep red colour |

I bought some seeds from Diggers Seeds in Oz. Could these be the same as SG? The Diggers one is a determinate, small and allegedly high in Vit A.

23C in Wynyard - beautiful sunny day after plenty rain last night. Peach Tree is still knackered but the tomatoes grew a foot last night. UV Very Extreme - good excuse to do something indoors after I pick a couple of ripe Kotlas for lunch. Bob makes one good cuppa a day - the one I get in bed every morning. Hail Rain or Shine! I'm not a morning person......

Lomatia, its unlikely it is, Sara's is not a determinate. I grew mine this year on a 5 foot high lattice fence around my patio, once it reached the top I just sort of let it weave its way along the top and it was at least as wide as tall. If you would like seeds from what I have just send me an SASE I have some I'm giving away. http://www.tomatoville.com/showthread.php?t=7159
