This should brighten up that old gray food processor.
I leaning on an old Checker Cab theme complete with black and white checkers on the side with headlights. That's a lot of little squares to cut out. It took forever to tape this thing off. Worth IMG_20150911_40771.jpg IMG_20150911_52817.jpg Last edited by Worth1; September 11, 2015 at 11:43 AM. |

I decided to go with a salsa theme.
My first hand painted chili pepper. Let's hope I get better. I still have more peppers and various tomatoes to do. Worth IMG_20150912_40457.jpg |

Only you would think of personalising your food processor, Worth. And I like it. But then I've been known to have some quirky "art" in my kitchen too over the years....and not just in the kitchen.

This two were gift from my BIL. He made them. They are sitting in my kitchen now. It is nice to have individualize gifts.

Ok....Today is the first day of the 2015 Stratford Kiwanis Garlic Festival in Stratford, ON, Canada. Was worried that it would rain big time last night and turn the fields at the old fair grounds into a mud pit, which has happened in the past. But where I live about 30 miles away got more rain than Stratford, and Stratford it seems got only a "trace" of rain....and held off during the day at least until when we left about 2pm. The crowds were good, parking wasn't all that bad either.
So here's what I picked up: From the Garlic Pantry - Rosemary Garlic Jelly - 250ml From the Garlic Pantry - To Die for Pesto - 250ml From the Garlic Pantry - Death by Pesto - 250ml From the Garlic Pantry - Smoked Garlic Spread - 250ml Brant County Ontario Premium Gourmet Garlic Dehydrated Garlic 50g Jel-licious - Garlic Honey - 250ml Big A s s - Muskoka Garlic Mustard - 250ml Big A s s - Hot Barbecue Sauce - 375ml (one of my annual favourites!) Big A s s - Hot Four Pepper Jelly - 250ml (one of my annual favourites!) Big A s s - Dutch Apple Pie Jam - 250ml Bab's Yummy Yummy Garlic Spread - 3 250ml And from Nudge...Nudge...Here comes the Fudge!: Pumpkin Fudge (one of my annual favourites!) Cappuccino Fudge Cranberry Maple Fudge Sweet Chili Fire Chocolate Fudge (one of my annual favourites!) Roasted Garlic "This Bud's for you!" Fudge (one of my annual favourites!) hoppin' Jalapeno Fudge 3lbs of huge shallots 3 small cookbooks And ordered 3 cookbooks from the author to be signed by she and her co-author sister to be delivered. (yeah...I need more cookbooks like I need another hole in my head, since by last count I was just under 1,000 cookbooks, and that was after culling ones I don't ever use or like...lol) And then there was the garlic. Pretty much everybody sells Music, most also seem to sell Deerfield this year too. I'd didn't bother with either. But what I got was these, some for eating, some for drying and making into powder and some for planting: Anna's Hungarian (R) Armenian (P) Bogatyr (MPS) Carpathian Chesnock Red (PS) Choparsky (MPS) Georgian Fire (P) Hungarian Kiss (R) Irkutsk (MPS) Khabar (MPS) Persian Star Pitarelli (R) Romanian Red (P) Sicilian Gold Spicy Korean Red Spent too much money - lol - but that's t not the first time

I have wanted a Checker for years.Add a 454 and you'd have a going proposition.Surprising how much they remind me of a '55 Chevy. Then all you would need is James Taylor..Dennis Wilson and Warren Oates, and you would have the makings of a cult film. Ok.I'll be quiet now.
