Pumpkin Worm...
I know this is some kind of worm borer but don't know the name. It took down my plant.
Now, I have a few more, and I sprayed Sevin on them. I even cracked a couple open and saw more of them, which got sprayed. Will the spray help at all? Plant again? First time growing them btw. Live and Learn! Greg |

Squash Vine Borers.... Hate 'em....... Sevin should work. Bury your plant where you cut the stem open to help it recover.....
Good luck! Lee

I've read that some people put foil on the base of the plant to discourage squash vine borers. We had them one year. You could see the fine sawdust like results on them.
We burnt the plants. |

Squash vine borers are nasty little buggers. Hard to kill, or hard to get to, to kill them.
