The 2017 Hudson Valley Seed Co. catalog just showed up in the mailbox this afternoon.
And so it begins...! |

I got a Dixondale catalog a couple weeks ago.
I think they send them out extra early so you have time to get a second job. |

I've never seen that one but now I'll have to check it out. I've already received Pinetree Gardens and High Mowing. LOVE looking but it inevitably makes me want to order more new varieties of vegetable seeds that I really don't need and also to try turnips, dried beans, radishes, Swiss chard, etc., etc. just one more time.

I usually try and be eco friendly and look at seed catalogs online, but I just requested a catalog from Dixondale. One of the better local garden centers offers their product locally (wish I had known years ago) and now I can have a reference on hand when I am looking thru the bins. They fly off the shelves in a few days so I hope the catalog is a reminder that spring is coming and I need to go shopping.

I received The Whole Seed Catalog from Baker Creek a couple of days ago. I was reluctant to pay for a seed catalog but am glad I bought it. It's really nice.

I was feeling left out, but I got my first catalog yesterday, it's Territorial's commercial catalog, which I did not know existed.

In looking at it, the selection of tomatoes is much slimmer, and almost all of the varieties in the commercial catalog can be bought by the packet off of Territorial's web site. It's geared toward small farmers and market growers. Most of the tomatoes are hybrids and all of the peppers are.

Pinetree arrived today. I need to check my stash of bush cucumber seeds to see if I need to order more from them.

So far have gotten Pinetree, and Dixondale. Yesterday Johnny's, Totally Tomatoes and Vermont's arrived. Never used to see a see catalog until the first of the year. I don't even have this years gardens all cleaned up yet and now I have to start thinking what to order for next year.
